Meet the Lynch family and our cherry-picked team, a dynamic crew with a knack for outdoor adventures and a passion for education. From Alex’s expertise on ‘all things bugs’ to Ben’s skills in tool use, Tracey’s magic tricks for the little’ins to Joe's wild nature art talents, each member brings their own unique strengths to the table. Together, we're on a mission to inspire and empower the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts and environmental stewards.

Director & Cofounder

Joshua Lynch

As soon as he could walk, Joshua was climbing trees and exploring mountains. Now, after almost a decade of working with youth groups, a psychology degree, 2 years of humanitarian work in Africa (becoming fluent in French) and multiple outdoor qualifications, he has developed himself in to a passionate outdoor specialist.

Jordan Lynch

Trained as a Geologist at the University of St Andrews, Jordan's diverse career in the outdoors has led him to Greenland, The Alps, and Spain. He's worked extensively with schools before co-founding TAE. Jordan enjoys family time, speaking Latvian, reading, hitting the gym, and exploring nature in his free time.

Operations Manager and Education Specialist

Leah Lynch

Leah is a highly qualified teacher, specialising in Music and Drama. She has been working with young people for 13 years and is a qualified British sign Language teacher. Leah is responsible for ensuring that everything runs like clockwork and that what we do here at TAE fits perfectly with the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.

Business Development and Risk Manager

Hannah Lynch

Hannah brings 9 years of experience in emergency planning and response, holding an Honours degree in Disaster Management. Forward thinking, she specialises in risk, strategy development, and ensuring the safety, quality and efficiency of our projects. She speaks fluent German and adores looking after her 2 bouncing girls.

Outdoor Educator

Ben Munzer

Co-founder Joshua has known Ben for years. He is 33, obsessed with mountaineering and mushroom foraging, and is a knowledgeable and dedicated outdoorsman. We are proud to say we 'cherry picked' him and he accepted. He is excellent at ASN work, making kids laugh and is amazing at scurrying up a climbing wall or cliff face!

Tracey Cashman

With over 20 years of primary teaching experience, Tracey brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Passionate about the outdoors and education, she holds a BA (Hons) in Outdoor Education, and is fabulous at igniting kid's imagination. Tracey enjoys running in the hills with her dogs and exploring trails with her husband, making the most of Scotland's natural beauty.

Alex Miller

Alex has always had a deep appreciation for nature, stemming from childhood explorations. Growing up, Alex developed a passion for rewilding, dedicating time to projects like wildlife ponds and meadows. With a BSc in animal and conservation biology, he advocates for environmental education, supporting our mission to nurture connections to nature.

Joe Malster

Joe has a passion for Scotland’s wild landscapes and the animals, trees, and plants that shape them. A graduate of Gray’s School of Art, he combines impressive creativity with a strong ecological knowledge base, developed through his family’s wildflower nursery and delivering nature-based events for children in Aberdeenshire. His blend of storytelling, ecology, and art brings energy and inspiration to his work!
