Introduction to Autumn Foraging

Service Description

Join our 3-hour foraging adventure led by our experienced instructors Jordan and Ben. Learn about safe and sustainable foraging practices while exploring Forfar Loch for edible species, focusing on "never buy salad leaves again" and discovering nutritious, tasty wild greens, fruits, and nuts. Receive a CPD certificate for attending this introductory course, and enjoy grazing on foraged items during the session.

Cancellation Policy

Booking Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed once payment is received in full. Confirmation will be sent via email to the address provided during booking. Participant Requirements: Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Health and Safety: Participants must adhere to all safety instructions provided by our experienced foraging instructors. Any medical conditions or allergies must be disclosed prior to the course. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations can be made up until 48 hours prior to the course. Cancellations made after this will not be eligible for a refund. Course Content: The course will involve walking outdoors and may include uneven terrain. Participants should be prepared for moderate physical activity and varying weather conditions. Certificate of Attendance: Participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the course. This certificate is externally accredited by CPD Accreditation Services. Food and Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided during the course in the form of edibles that you are directed to forage. Participants are advised to have a substantial breakfast or lunch before arriving. What to Bring: Participants should bring sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, enthusiasm, and inquisitiveness. Personal foraging bags or baskets, as well as scissors or secateurs, are optional. Fixed blade knives or other bushcraft tools are not permitted. Liability Waiver: By booking this course, participants acknowledge and accept any associated risks with foraging. The Alba Explorers Ltd. maintain full and necessary insurances. We shall not be help responsible for individuals who do not abide by instructions provided on the course, such as eating something they have been advised not to. Photography and Filming: The Alba Explorers Ltd. may take photographs or videos during the course for promotional purposes. Participants who prefer not to be photographed or filmed should inform the instructor in advance. Changes to Itinerary: The Alba Explorers Ltd. reserves the right to make changes to the course itinerary, including location and activities, based on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
